# Download — There Is No Longshots App

Let us save you some time: there is nothing to download here, and there never will be.

A "longshot" is not an app, a file or a mod. It is a kill you make inside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — a shot that lands from past your weapon's distance threshold, 12 meters for a shotgun up to 51 meters for a sniper rifle. It exists only as a camo challenge inside the game. No download can give it to you, unlock it for you, or do it for you.

Where MW4 actually comes from

Modern Warfare 4 is a full-priced game published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward. The only legitimate way to get it is to buy it through the official stores for your platform, or via the official Call of Duty website linked from this page's download button. If a site offers you MW4 itself for free, it is not real, whatever the page says.

Watch out for fake longshot downloads

Since the game launched on 23 October 2026, searches for "longshots" have attracted the usual junk. Sites advertise "longshot unlock APKs", "longshot hack tools", "camo unlocker downloads" and mod menus that claim to complete your challenges. None of these can do what they promise — camo progress lives on Activision's servers, not in a file on your phone. What these downloads actually deliver is usually one of three things: malware, a fake installer that pushes ads and subscription traps, or a tool designed to steal your gaming account. Using real cheats in MW4 can also get your account permanently banned.

The pattern is easy to spot once you know it. If a page asks you to install an APK, complete surveys to "unlock the download", or log in with your Activision account anywhere except an official Activision page, close it.

What this site gives you instead

The honest version of help: the actual distances for every weapon class, which maps have sightlines long enough, and which modes and guns make the grind fastest. That is all on the homepage and in the guides. It takes a few evenings of Ground War, not a shady installer.

The button on this page goes to the official Call of Duty website. That is the right starting point if you do not own the game yet, and the only download destination we will ever link from here.
